For most children and adults struggling to read the path ahead can feel hopeless. Typical reading instruction is good for the masses but lacks the explicit decoding focus needed for struggling readers to succeed. Through structured literacy instruction (most commonly known as Orton-Gillingham), students receive an evidence-based approach that is aligned with knowledge and practice standards and is effective for students with literacy acquisition issues and reading challenges, including dyslexia and related disorders. Structured literacy is beneficial for anyone learning to read, but it is essential for children and adults with Dyslexia.
